Russia introduces mandatory online registration for foreigners
The innovation, announced by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Moscow, comes into force as part of a government experiment aimed at testing new conditions for the entry and exit of foreign citizens. The application must be submitted no later than 72 hours before entering. In emergency cases (illness, death of a relative) - at least 4 hours before arrival.

To register, you will need to upload a photo, specify your personal data, and indicate the planned stay dates. The QR code received must be presented when crossing the border.

The following are exempt from online registration:
children under 6 years of age;
citizens entering through visas, with RVP or VNJ;
citizens of Belarus.

For minors aged 6 to 18, the application is submitted by their parents or legal guardians, provided they have a valid entry permit.

Starting December 1, 2024, Russia conducted an experiment to collect biometric data at Moscow's largest airports and one of the ground checkpoints. Now, similar rules will apply throughout the entire border.
