Russia to Play at Mirabror Usmanov Memorial Tournament in Uzbekistan

Russia’s youth national team will take part in the Mirabror Usmanov Memorial International Tournament, scheduled to be held in Tashkent from October 2 to 6. Teams from Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia and Armenia will also participate.
According to the Russian Football Union, Russia’s squad will consist of players born in 2007 and 2008. Before travelling to Uzbekistan, the team will hold a training camp in Minsk from September 21 to 28 and play two friendly matches against Belarus.
In Tashkent, Russia will open its campaign against Saudi Arabia on October 2, face Armenia on October 4 and meet hosts Uzbekistan on October 6. The matches are part of the Mirabror Usmanov Cup 2026 international tournament.
The tournament is held in memory of Mirabror Usmanov, a former head of Uzbekistan’s football organisations and the country’s National Olympic Committee. The competition is regularly hosted in Tashkent and provides young players with international match experience.
