According to the statement made by Mikhail Mishustin, who currently holds the post of Prime Minister, a huge shift in Uzbekistan-Russia relations is expected in the next five years. That is, it is planned to triple the volume of trade between the two countries to 30 billion dollars.

Maxim Rashetnikov, head of the Ministry of Economic Development, added that the Russian Federation is the second most important partner for the economy of Uzbekistan. In the first half of the year, the volume of trade between the countries increased by 9%.

In addition, a roadmap for future cooperation prospects was developed.

"Vladimir Putin and Shavkat Mirziyoyev decided to set a much bigger goal of increasing the volume of exports and imports. Serious work is required to achieve this," says the head of the Ministry of Economic Development.
