Saida Mirziyoyeva and Zhao Leji Discuss New Uzbekistan–China Projects

Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held talks with Zhao Leji, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress. The sides discussed prospects for further developing Uzbekistan–China relations and expanding interparliamentary cooperation.
The meeting highlighted the steady strengthening of bilateral ties in recent years, supported by regular and close high-level dialogue between the two countries. Particular attention was given to further developing cooperation between the two parliaments.
Saida Mirziyoyeva emphasized the importance of China’s support and expressed Uzbekistan’s readiness to jointly advance concrete projects in priority areas. Transport, trade, education and culture were identified among the key areas for practical cooperation.
“We value China’s support and its readiness to work together on concrete projects in transport, trade, education and culture. Our countries have many shared plans, and the key is to implement them consistently,” Saida Mirziyoyeva said.
The sides also confirmed their interest in further expanding practical cooperation. Saida Mirziyoyeva thanked Zhao Leji for the open and substantive discussion.
