The exhibition immerses visitors in the world of craftsmanship in Uzbekistan. This project reflects cultural diversity and supports creative innovation, which is in line with the Biennale's objectives.

"I am pleased to recognise our participation at an event where best practice in design is shared at all levels, locally, regionally and globally. In the exhibition project Crafting Uzbekistan: Tradition in Threads, we showed a combination of Uzbekistan's rich craft traditions and contemporary creativity. After all, the handicraft heritage rooted in history makes us the guardians of unique traditions and culture," said Saida Mirziyoyeva, Assistant to the President of Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan's unique exhibition will demonstrate the evolution of folk crafts over the past 100 years and present their rich traditions. One of the most striking elements of the exhibition is the lenticular floor, which creates the illusion of changing colours with movement, imitating traditional textiles.

The exhibition Crafting Uzbekistan: Tradition in Threads will be on view until 30 March 2024.
