Scholz: The rights of Karabakh residents must be guaranteed
The rights and security of the Armenian population of Karabakh, which is under the control of Azerbaijan, must be guaranteed. This was stated by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

In a telephone conversation with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on September 22, Scholes said the focus of the situation was "humanitarian assistance to the people in the region." He added that public safety and humanitarian assistance "are now Azerbaijan's responsibility."

Scholz told Pashinyan that humanitarian aid should be carried out through the Falcon Corridor, which connects the region with Armenia.

The Chancellor stressed that he does not support the use of military force, adding that Germany stands for finding a negotiated solution and establishing a lasting peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
