SCO Foreign Ministers Sign Package of Documents Ahead of Bishkek Summit

Foreign ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member states convened for a regular meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers as preparations continue for the upcoming SCO Summit. Discussions focused on strengthening multilateral cooperation, enhancing regional security and expanding economic ties.
Uzbekistan was represented by Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov. The ministers reviewed the organization's priority areas, including trade, economic and transport connectivity, as well as key issues related to sustainable development and regional security.
Following the meeting, the foreign ministers signed a package of documents that will be submitted for consideration at the forthcoming summit of SCO heads of state.
The delegations also took part in a symbolic joint painting ceremony reflecting the member states' shared commitment to mutual trust, friendship and good-neighbourly relations across the SCO region.
Bakhtiyor Saidov expressed appreciation to Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubayev and the organizers for the high standard of preparations and the warm hospitality extended to participating delegations.
