Shavkat Mirziyoyev Congratulates Vladimir Putin on State Duma Elections

Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulating him on the successful conduct of elections to the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of Russia. The Uzbek president highlighted the high voter turnout and the results of the vote.
According to Mirziyoyev, the elections once again demonstrated the high political culture and civic consolidation of Russian society. The record turnout and voting results, the letter said, reflected strong public confidence in the strategic course being implemented under the leadership of Vladimir Putin.
The Uzbek president stressed that the course is aimed at continuing Russia’s socio-economic development and protecting the country’s national interests.
Mirziyoyev also highlighted relations between Uzbekistan and Russia. He noted with satisfaction the “unprecedentedly high momentum” in the two countries’ comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance.
According to the Uzbek president, interparliamentary cooperation holds a special place in the multifaceted bilateral relationship and will continue to contribute to the successful implementation of joint projects and programmes. Mirziyoyev expressed confidence that joint efforts would give further impetus to comprehensive Uzbek-Russian cooperation and fill it with new initiatives.
Mirziyoyev concluded his message by wishing Vladimir Putin good health and further success in his state activities, and the people of Russia peace, prosperity and progress.
