On 15 April, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, received delegations from Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain, as reported by the press service of the Uzbek leader.

During the meeting with the delegation from the Sultanate of Oman, led by the Foreign Minister, Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, the importance of expanding the portfolio of projects of the joint investment company operating in Uzbekistan was noted.

It was proposed to initiate new projects and programmes in priority areas such as the development of the banking sector, digital technologies, energy, industry, agriculture, and education.

With the delegation from the State of Kuwait, led by the Foreign Minister, Abdullah Al-Yahya, issues were discussed concerning the further development of constructive political dialogue, and the expansion of trade-economic, financial-investment, and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.

The need to intensify mutual visits, implement cultural and tourism exchange programmes, and promote investment projects involving leading companies in priority sectors was emphasised, including within the framework of close cooperation with the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development and by establishing productive partnerships with the Kuwait Investment Authority.

With the delegation from the Kingdom of Bahrain, led by the Foreign Minister, Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, issues were discussed concerning the further development and deepening of the multifaceted Uzbek-Bahraini partnership.

The importance of intensifying political dialogue and the prompt initiation of a mechanism for political consultations was emphasised. The existing great potential and broad opportunities for trade-economic cooperation, and the promotion of programmes and projects in the banking-financial sector, the construction of automobile and railway roads, the modernisation of energy infrastructure, and other priority areas were noted.

It should be reminded that today in Tashkent, the second meeting of the foreign ministers of the Strategic Dialogue "Central Asia – Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Gulf" took place.
