Skilled Personnel Being Trained for Industrial Enterprises in Andijan

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the operations of the technical college located within the "Ipak Yuli" industrial zone in the Andijan district.
Alongside the launch of new industrial enterprises, the country prioritizes the training of qualified specialists to staff them. Close integration between education and industry plays a vital role in this process.
The "Andijan-Huania" international technical college was established specifically for this purpose. It trains personnel in high-demand specialties for textile, machinery manufacturing, electrical engineering, and other high-tech enterprises located in the "Ipak Yuli" industrial zone.
The total cost of the project, funded entirely by foreign investment, is $15 million. It has created 150 new jobs.
A modern academic building with a capacity of 5,000 students has been constructed on a four-hectare site. Future project phases include the construction of a student dormitory and a laboratory building, as well as the development of a sports ground, a cafeteria, and a green area.
The college employs a dual education system. Students acquire theoretical knowledge at the college while gaining practical experience at major enterprises within the industrial zone. This allows them to gain direct exposure to production processes, modern equipment, and technologies while still in training.
The college began operations in June of this year. Currently, 210 students are enrolled. Plans are in place to increase annual intake to 1,800 students and total enrollment to 4,000 by 2030. Additionally, the number of educational specializations will be expanded to 20.
The President inspected the facilities at the college and spoke with the students and the investor.
