Sports Equipment Meeting International Standards Produced in Balykchy

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the operations of the "LB Sport" enterprise in the Balykchy district.
The country places great emphasis on developing the sports industry, actively involving the private sector, and boosting domestic production volumes. A key part of this process is the manufacture of high-quality sports equipment that meets international standards and can replace imports.
"LB Sport" is a leading domestic manufacturer of sports equipment, collaborating with over 20 sports federations.
This project was implemented in accordance with a decree issued by the Head of State on March 24 of this year, aimed at expanding the participation of entrepreneurs in the sports sector.
The total cost of the project, funded entirely by the entrepreneur's own resources, is 25 billion soums. The enterprise manufactures 65 types of products for 18 different sports. Annual production totals 500,000 units of sports equipment with a combined value of 75 billion soums.
The products rival foreign equivalents in quality while being more affordably priced. They are exported to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and other CIS countries, generating 3 million dollars in annual export revenue.
The enterprise also places significant emphasis on creating employment opportunities. It has established a home-based work program involving 800 low-income families in the Balykchy district.
Women make up 90 percent of these home-based workers, while 65 percent are young people under the age of 30. This system enables individuals to earn a stable income while working from home.
The enterprise has also integrated education with production. One hundred students from local technical colleges No. 1 and No. 2 are participating in a dual education program, allowing them to apply their theoretical knowledge directly within the production process. The Head of State familiarized himself with the production process and samples of finished products.
Information was presented regarding the enterprise's future plans. In 2027, plans are in place to attract foreign investment and implement a project to manufacture sports bicycles.
