Syria Fighters Reach Aleppo

According to Reuters, Syrian government forces have closed off the roads leading into Aleppo and the airport.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that fighters from the "Hayat Tahrir al-Sham" group have taken control of at least half of the city, and the Syrian government forces withdrew from Aleppo with little resistance.
Military sources cited by Reuters state that the Syrian government closed the Aleppo airport and the roads leading to the city amid the rebel advance. Moscow, a key ally of Assad, has promised additional military assistance to Damascus within 72 hours. Government forces have been ordered to retreat from the city's main areas, which have now been taken by the rebels.
"Meduza" analyzed videos from Aleppo, which are believed to have been posted by Islamists on social media. According to the video footage, the fighters now control the central and western parts of Aleppo, including the citadel. "BBC" journalists also confirmed that the videos released by the rebels were filmed in Aleppo.
