Tamerlane Returns: First Trailer of Historical Biopic About the Great Commander
The film tells the story of the life and rise to power of the great commander Amir Timur. Set in the 14th century, it depicts the chaos along the Silk Road following the collapse of the Mongol Empire, with cities destroyed and the region engulfed in power struggles.

The story shows how betrayal, severe injuries, and personal losses deprive the future ruler of everything he holds dear, including the love of his life. These trials forge Timur’s character, enabling him to gradually restore order, outsmart his enemies, and overthrow corrupt rulers.

A special focus of the film is the love story between Amir Timur and his chief wife Saray-mulk Khanum, known as Bibi-Khanum. The film poster emphasizes: “He ruled half the world, and she ruled his heart.”

The film is directed by Jacob Schwartz, with a screenplay by Matthew Green. Amir Timur is played by Christian Mortensen. The cast also includes Mahesh Jadu, Yulduz Rajabova, Joshua Joe, Dulguun Odkhuu, Sanjar Madi, Arazu, Paul Marlon, Umit Ulgen, and Aziz Beyshenaliev.

Filming took place in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
