Former head of Kyrgyzstan’s State Committee for National Security, Kamchybek Tashiev, said his dismissal came as a surprise. A statement on his behalf was published on social media by supporters.
A statement attributed to Kamchybek Tashiev has been circulated on social media, in which he commented on his removal from the posts of deputy chairman of the cabinet of ministers and head of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the statement, the decision to dismiss him was unexpected. Tashiev said that at the time of the decision he was abroad with the president’s permission for a medical examination following a previous operation.
He emphasized that the decision of the head of state must be carried out under any circumstances.
“I honestly served our state, the people, and the president, and I am proud of it. The only thing I regret is that I was not given the opportunity to say goodbye to the personnel. I thank every employee of the security service and wish them success,” the statement says.
In conclusion, Tashiev urged citizens to obey the law, avoid unlawful actions, and maintain peace and stability in the country.
