According to Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan, the meeting was held with the participation of Special Envoy and Ambassador Sergio Gor in a productive, forward-looking atmosphere. She noted that both sides outlined a substantial agenda of practical work in key areas of mutual interest.

The U.S.–Uzbekistan Business and Investment Council was established by Presidential Decree No. UP-210 dated November 11, 2025. Its activities will focus on expanding investment and export opportunities, supporting high-tech sectors—primarily information technology and digital innovation—and creating transparent, level playing conditions for American exporters in the Uzbek market.

The agreement to create the council was reached during the official visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the United States on November 4–6, 2025. On the American side, the council is co-chaired by Special Envoy of U.S. President Donald Trump, Sergio Gor, while the Uzbek side is led by Saida Mirziyoyeva.
