The forum brings together education-sector representatives, university leaders, experts and government officials. According to the official programme, participants include education ministers from Central Asian countries, leaders of foreign universities and representatives of international organizations. Official forum materials anticipate more than 1,500 participants, including around 500 heads of higher education institutions and over 1,000 experts.

The president’s message highlighted stronger mutual trust, good-neighbourly relations and partnership among Central Asian countries. With a population of about 85 million, the region’s greatest asset is its younger generation and its aspiration to learn. “The most effective way to turn this vast demographic potential into a powerful intellectual force is quality modern education and upbringing,” the message said.

Mirziyoyev noted that education reform has become a state policy priority in Uzbekistan. The management of preschool, school, vocational and higher education, as well as science, has recently been brought together in a unified system. The aim is to ensure continuity across every stage, from a child’s first learning experiences to the development of qualified professionals and scientists.

Key priorities include raising the status of teachers and mentors, strengthening links between schools, technical colleges, universities and industry, and expanding opportunities for girls, children in remote areas and young people with special educational needs. The message also stressed that education should prepare young people to think independently, be creative and continue learning throughout their lives.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed confidence that the forum would produce practical proposals supporting a strategic goal: transforming Central Asia into a shared intellectual space that brings together education, advanced technologies and innovation.
