According to figures released on October 27, the average-wage calculation excludes small businesses, microfirms and agricultural enterprises. It therefore does not represent the earnings of every employed person in the country.

Tashkent recorded the highest average wage at UZS 12.3 million, an annual increase of 18.3%. Navoi Region followed with UZS 8.82 million, while Tashkent Region reported UZS 6.89 million. The lowest averages were in Kashkadarya Region, at UZS 4.97 million, and Surkhandarya Region, at UZS 4.99 million. Wage growth was fastest in Namangan Region (+20.3%), Jizzakh Region (+19.8%) and Tashkent Region (+19.1%).

By sector, finance and insurance led with an average wage of UZS 19.71 million. Information and communications followed at UZS 17.01 million, and transportation and storage at UZS 11.27 million. Among the listed sectors, healthcare and social services had the lowest average, at UZS 4.45 million. Education averaged UZS 5.02 million, with higher education at UZS 11.52 million and preschool education at UZS 2.85 million.

The experimental median wage for January–August was UZS 4.166 million. Tashkent had the highest regional median, at UZS 6.79 million, followed by Navoi Region at UZS 6.21 million. The lowest was recorded in Syrdarya Region, at UZS 3 million. By sector, the median reached UZS 11.36 million in finance and insurance and UZS 8.75 million in information and communications. It was UZS 3.21 million in education and UZS 3.27 million in healthcare.

Average pay is calculated by dividing total accrued wages by the number of employees, so high individual earnings can raise the figure. The median marks the midpoint of the distribution: half of workers earn less and half earn more. The figures should not be compared directly because the average covers nine months while the median covers eight. Earnings are measured before income tax, and staff of companies with branches are assigned to the region where the legal entity is registered. The committee said the median measure remains experimental.
