The discussion will focus on creating spaces that support physical and psychological well-being. Participants will consider how the wellness concept can be integrated into architecture and contemporary design, with attention to people’s needs and the ways they use spaces in daily life.

Another focus will be the role of technology and equipment in creating comfortable environments for exercise and recovery. The conversation will consider how spatial design, technological solutions and fitness equipment can work together in settings designed around health and quality of life.

Farrukh Zakirov, founder of Technogym Uzbekistan, will take part in the discussion. The Italian premium fitness equipment brand Technogym has been bringing together technology, wellness and design for more than 40 years. Its experience will contribute to a professional exchange on how equipment, functionality and aesthetics can be combined in spaces for physical activity and recovery.

The event will bring together representatives of architecture, design, sport and the hospitality industry. This cross-sector platform will allow participants to exchange ideas on designing spaces where health and comfort are key considerations. The discussion will also address the place of wellness in contemporary planning and ways to apply this approach across different environments.

Wellness by Design is scheduled for 29 October at Tashkent City Mall within the Tashkent Design Week 2026 programme. Its central theme is the connection between design decisions and everyday quality of life, from spatial planning to conditions for exercise and recovery.
