Due to the unprofitability of the energy sector, its subsidies from the state budget lead to a deficit. The Ministry assures that these funds will be saved tomorrow if market laws are introduced into the industry.

The government spends an average of $1.15 billion a year to subsidize energy needs
The cost of 1 kilowatt-hour of electricity is 970 soums. Residents pay 295 soums per 1 kilowatt-hour. Similarly, if the cost of 1 cubic meter of gas is 1890 soums, then for 1 cubic meter of gas the consumer spends 390 soums.

According to the Ministry of Energy, subsidizing the industry from the state budget due to unprofitability leads to a deficit. This does not allow more funds to be channeled into the social sector. As a result, in fact, funds that could be spent on upgrading the system are spent only on compensating for the gap that has arisen.

It is noted that these funds will be saved tomorrow if market laws are introduced into the industry.

“The funds saved as a result can be spent on the development of the social sphere, the construction of new schools, medical institutions, the introduction of modern technologies for the development of production in each industry, as well as on the deep modernization of the energy system,” the message says.
