On June 29, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
At the beginning of the conversation, the head of state warmly congratulated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on his birthday, expressing sincere wishes for good health, family happiness and well-being, peace and prosperity to the fraternal Turkmen people.
In turn, the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty conveyed greetings from President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the leader of Uzbekistan.
The parties highly praised the current level of their strategic partnership. Close and fruitful contacts are maintained at all levels. Trade volumes are steadily growing, and cooperation projects are being implemented in industry, energy, transport, and other priority sectors. The Shavat-Dashoguz trade zone is operating effectively.
Interregional business, cultural, and humanitarian exchanges are expanding.
The results of the recent meetings of the Intergovernmental Commission and the Business Council held in Ashgabat were highly commended.
Particular attention was paid to the coordination and promotion of the regional agenda in the context of preparations for the Eighth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan in Turkmenistan in October of this year.
