The list of banned extremist channels in Uzbekistan has been published

The Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan has published a list of sources and materials recognized as religiously extremist, terrorist, and ideologically radical, which are banned within the territory of Uzbekistan. The inclusion, preparation, storage, distribution, and display of these materials on the internet are prohibited.
According to Article 244-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the preparation, storage, distribution, or display of materials that threaten public safety and public order is punishable by a fine of two hundred times the base calculation amount (BCA) or imprisonment for up to eight years.
Additionally, according to Article 244-3 of the Criminal Code, the illegal preparation, storage, import, or distribution of religious materials is punishable by a fine of one hundred times the BCA or corrective labor for up to three years.
"Dear citizens! Honorable parents and youth! Always beware of falling into the trap of religious fanaticism, extremism, and terrorism. Never allow them to destroy your life and dreams," the Supreme Court urged awareness.
Additionally, according to Article 244-3 of the Criminal Code, the illegal preparation, storage, import, or distribution of religious materials is punishable by a fine of one hundred times the BCA or corrective labor for up to three years.
