The President got acquainted with the new project of the joint venture

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev began his trip to the Republic of Karakalpakstan with an acquaintance with the industrial potential of the region.
The joint venture “Nukus Eleсtroapparat” was put into operation in 2017, it produces power equipment for power grids. In June of this year, a project for the production of solar panels worth more than 10 million dollars was launched here. The equipment was delivered and installed from the Republic of Korea. The production process is fully automated. The annual capacity of the project is 273 thousand units.
This will contribute to the further introduction of alternative energy in our country. To date, solar panels with a total capacity of 600 megawatts have been installed in various buildings and houses. This process continues.
Along with the localization of products in demand on the domestic market, the joint venture received the opportunity to export products worth 4 million dollars. 70 people were provided with jobs.
The head of our state got acquainted with the technological process, talked with the workers. The responsible persons were given instructions to increase the number of such enterprises and their production of products with high demand on the market.
The products manufactured by the industry enterprises were also presented here.
The plant itself has solar panels with a capacity of 125 kilowatts. The generated electricity is used for internal needs, and the surplus is sold to the regional power grid.
In recent years, 10 solar and wind stations with a total capacity of 2.6 gigawatts have been commissioned in our country due to investments of 2 billion dollars. Work is also underway on 32 "green" projects with a capacity of 18.6 gigawatts at a total cost of 19 billion dollars. In general, by 2030, it is planned to increase the share of renewable energy sources in the energy balance to 40 percent.
