Improving the infrastructure of mahallas, shaping them to represent the New Uzbekistan, and creating a decent living environment for the population have been identified as a priority in our country.

The State Program "Year of Development of the Mahalla and Society" of February 26 of this year serves as an important practical guideline for this. It aims to comprehensively develop mahallas on a modern basis and enhance their socio-economic potential.

The Bogimaidon mahalla in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district of the capital has acquired a completely new appearance today. Established in 1987, this mahalla comprises 41 apartment buildings and 1,990 apartments, and is home to approximately 5,500 people.

The area boasts modern infrastructure for residents. Specifically, 20 children's playgrounds, 11 workout areas, 3 mini-football fields, and a tennis court have been established. Two preschools serve nearly 500 children.

Particular attention is also paid to increasing economic activity and employment. Currently, over 70 businesses operate in the mahalla, helping to reduce unemployment and increase family incomes. Of the 1,048 young residents in the mahalla, 949 are employed.

Work is also being consistently carried out to preserve and expand green spaces. To this end, an eco-park was established in 2022. Today, the park, with its approximately 4,500 trees, has become a favorite recreation spot for both older and younger generations. The "Nuroniylar Maskani" (Nuroniyalar Maskani) also operates here, helping to strengthen the social and spiritual environment in the mahalla.

The head of state reviewed a presentation on the work being done to ensure a safe environment in the mahalla. Currently, the entrances to residential buildings are equipped with surveillance cameras and security consoles. The entry and exit of people and vehicles is monitored using modern technology.

The President inspected the facilities created for the residents and spoke with aksakals and mahalla activists. It was emphasized that a well-maintained and prosperous mahalla is the foundation of society, and strengthening peace, harmony, and social cohesion remains a vital priority.

The head of state also attended a sumalak festival organized in the mahalla and spoke with residents and children. He also met with young people exercising on the sports ground and emphasized the importance of physical education and a healthy lifestyle in developing a well-rounded individual.
