As part of his visit to Bishkek, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Sergio Gore, the Special Envoy of the US President for South and Central Asia.
At the beginning of the meeting, Sergio Gore expressed sincere congratulations on the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan's state independence and conveyed greetings and good wishes from US President Donald Trump to the head of state.
The parties discussed the further strengthening of the Uzbek-American strategic partnership and the practical implementation of agreements reached at the highest level.
The positive dynamics of political dialogue, interparliamentary and interregional contacts, as well as the consistent expansion of trade, economic, and investment cooperation were noted with satisfaction.
The importance of further promoting joint projects and initiatives in priority areas, including energy, transport, critical minerals, digital technologies, artificial intelligence, agriculture, and other sectors, was emphasized.
Particular attention was paid to thorough preparation for upcoming events within the C5+1 format and the next meeting of the Uzbek-American Business and Investment Council.
