President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić participated in a joint business forum.

The event was attended by over 200 representatives of official and business circles, as well as heads of leading industrial and commercial enterprises from both countries.

Serbian businesses were represented by companies such as Galenika, Abela Pharm, Gosha Foam, Yumco, Luss Tekstil, and many others.

In his speech, the head of state noted that the fruitful high-level talks that took place had opened a new chapter in bilateral relations. Their main outcome was the establishment of a strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Serbia.

Mutual trade volumes are expected to increase significantly by expanding the range of mutual deliveries and simplifying customs procedures. A joint Action Plan for 2026–2028 has been adopted to develop industrial cooperation.

The President of Uzbekistan outlined key areas for further economic partnership. These include: joint production of textiles, electrical goods, automotive and industrial components, localized pharmaceutical production, advanced processing of fruit and vegetable products, and the implementation of projects in software and artificial intelligence.

The Uzbek leader expressed his readiness to create favorable investment and business conditions for Serbian businesses in the country and to provide practical assistance in the implementation of each joint project.

Following the event, a number of bilateral economic agreements and trade contracts were signed.
