The President of Uzbekistan has identified priority tasks within the "Yashil makon" ("Green Area") project.

Those wishing to plant trees will be able to choose saplings according to their preference
In particular, according to the greening project, which launched in the Tashkent region, 34 hectares of land in the Nurafshan, Bekabad, Urtachirchik, Tashkent, and Akhangaran districts will be transferred to landscaping authorities for a period of 30 years.

For each hectare, 100 million sums will be allocated from the local budget, and a drip irrigation system will be implemented. After land preparation, conditions will be created for those wishing to plant trees to choose saplings according to their preference.

This initiative has been approved, and it has been instructed to allocate no less than 20 hectares of land in each region and commence the respective work.

It has been noted that it is important to green no less than two central streets in regional centres, Tashkent and Nukus, using flower seedlings suitable for the local climate and transforming them into themed streets.

The responsibility of greening no less than 30% of the areas of major constructions in the capital is established in all regions.

Additionally, the Ministry of Ecology has been tasked with launching the "Mening bog'im" ("My Garden") project. An allocation of 50 billion sums from the budget will be made for this project. It is also instructed to organize 444 green gardens and 160 public parks.
