Threads surpasses 70 mln registrations, surprising Zuckerberg
On Friday, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that Threads had reached 70 mln subscribers. This is an amazing achievement in such a short time.

"70 million subscribers to Threads as of this morning," Zuckerberg wrote on the website. "This is well above our expectations," he added.

Hours after Zuckerberg-owned Meta Platforms launched Threads, dubbed the "Twitter killer", a lawyer for the Musk-owned service sent a witty email to Meta.

It accused Threads of being a "copycat" based on improperly obtained "trade secrets". The letter was not accompanied by formal legal action, but it was a clear warning shot.

According to Data.ai, the social network Threads leads the Uzbeks in the number of downloads. Threads is currently at the top of the chart, followed by Instagram, Telegram, Uzum Market and YouTube.
