Trans-Afghan transport corridor may be launched by 2030

Tashkent is hosting the First SCO Transport Forum. One of the main issues raised by the Uzbek side during the forum was the issue of accelerating the implementation of the Trans-Afghan transport corridor.
In an interview with Bright Uzbekistan, Deputy Transport Minister Jasur Choriev shared his thoughts that the Trans-Afghan transport corridor project could be realised and launched by 2030.
According to Choriev, the cost of the project is estimated at $7bn and a feasibility study of the construction project is planned to be developed soon.
