"Iran will begin a ceasefire, and in 12 hours - Israel. In 24 hours, the whole world will celebrate the official end of the war," Trump said on his Truth Social platform.

The American leader praised the courage and resilience of both sides, emphasizing that the agreement reached prevented a large-scale conflict that could "destroy the entire Middle East." Trump also thanked the mediators, especially the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, for their assistance in negotiations.

A ceasefire with Israel has entered into force, according to Iran's Press TV.

The armistice was announced against the backdrop of recent US airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities in Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan. In response, Iran launched a missile strike on the US Al-Udeid airbase in Qatar, directly targeting the US for the first time since the June 22 airstrikes.

"I hope that now Iran has'released steam' and we are moving towards de-escalation," Trump noted, emphasizing that any renewed attack on the US would face "a much greater force."
