Ankara is considering taking part in an international stabilization mission in the Gaza Strip, Turkiye Gazetesi reported, citing sources within Turkey’s security agencies. The country is reportedly preparing to send military observers, rescue teams, and engineering-sapper units.

A final decision on Turkey’s participation could be made by the end of the week. According to preliminary plans, the units would be stationed along Gaza’s borders with Egypt and Israel.

Sources also note that Turkish troops may be included in the international contingent, though the core of the mission is expected to consist of forces from Egypt, Pakistan, and Azerbaijan.
