A total of 558 people in Uzbekistan have received high state awards in recognition of their work, professional achievements and contribution to the country’s development as Uzbekistan marks the 35th anniversary of independence. Uzbekistan has ranked fifth in the Solo Travel Index 2026 compiled by international travel platform Much Better Adventures. The country placed in the top five alongside Kyrgyzstan, Italy, Japan and Portugal.

Gulomjon Turonov, a long-serving worker at the Bekabad Metallurgical Plant, received the honorary title of Distinguished Industrial Worker. The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) and the Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange (UzRTSB) have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at expanding the participation of companies from both countries in electronic trading. The agreement provides for mutual access to the two countries’ commodity markets, simplified procurement procedures, analytical data exchange and joint projects.
