UN adopts resolution condemning desecration of sacred books
The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution condemning any action that discriminates against sacred books and recognizes such action as a violation of international law.

The document adopted at the initiative of Morocco was unanimously approved by the UN General Assembly.

The Decree strongly condemns any acts of violence against people based on their religious affiliation or beliefs, directed against their religious symbols, sacred books, homes, businesses, property, schools, cultural centers, as well as all attacks on religious sites and shrines.
