The population of Fergana has exceeded 4 million people. At this growth rate, the population of the region will reach 5 million by 2030. This means that 100 new kindergartens, 40 schools, 20,000 homes, and 500,000 additional jobs need to be created in the Fergana region.
It was emphasized that this places significant tasks and requires high responsibility from the mayor of the region, his 8 deputies, and 19 mayors of cities and districts.
