Uzbek Students Win Silver at International Robotics Championship in China

Students from Tashkent State Transport University won silver medals at an international robotics championship held in Sanya, Hainan Province, China. The team finished Runner-Up and also received the "Most Active and Exemplary Team" special award at the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) China Offseason Event.

The Uzbek teams qualified for the international competition after winning the national First Robotics Uzbekistan tournament for higher education institutions. The winners earned the opportunity to compete internationally through the "Engineers of the Future" festival organized during the country's Engineering Month.

Uzbekistan was represented at the event by teams from Almalyk State Technical Institute, Tashkent State Transport University, and Bukhara State Technical University.

According to the organizers, the 2026 World Robot Contest (WRC) Championships in Sanya brought together more than 10,000 participants from over 25 countries.

The results mark a significant achievement for Uzbekistan's university teams, highlighting their growing presence in international robotics and engineering competitions.
