Uzbekistan Absorbs $32.9 Billion in Foreign Investment and Loans in Seven Months

Uzbekistan absorbed $32.9 billion in foreign investment and loans in January–July 2026, reaching 131.1% of the established targets. Foreign direct investment and loans amounted to $30.3 billion.
The country’s regions accounted for $24.3 billion of the total, equivalent to 161.8% of the established targets.
The Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, together with relevant government agencies and local authorities, continues to support investment projects and monitor compliance with implementation deadlines.
To maintain the current pace, authorities are conducting targeted work with project initiators and foreign investors, monitoring project implementation and addressing emerging issues on an ongoing basis.
Particular attention is being given to accelerating the commissioning of new production facilities. The measures are aimed at maintaining the pace of foreign investment and loan absorption achieved since the beginning of the year.
