Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan Approve Energy Cooperation Roadmap for 2026–2028

Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan have signed a roadmap to expand energy cooperation for 2026–2028. The document covers a range of areas, from the implementation of the Green Energy Corridor project to exploration, production and oil refining.
The roadmap was signed by the energy ministers of the two countries, Sherzod Khodjaev and Parviz Shahbazov.
The implementation of the Green Energy Corridor project has been identified as one of the key areas of cooperation. The two sides also agreed to develop cooperation in exploration and production.
The document includes provisions on supplies of oil and petroleum products between the two countries. Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan also plan to develop joint projects in oil refining.
Another area covered by the roadmap is the expansion of the activities of Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR in Uzbekistan. The sides intend to broaden the company’s operations and areas of cooperation in the country.
The signed document therefore sets out the main areas of energy cooperation between the two countries for the next three years. It combines projects in green energy with cooperation in traditional oil and gas sectors.
