Uzbekistan and Kuwait Set Course for New Investment Projects

Uzbekistan and Kuwait are seeking to give fresh momentum to their trade and investment partnership. During a high-level meeting, the two sides discussed joint projects, expanding business ties, and preparations for major bilateral events.
Uzbekistan's Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kuwait, Turki Khalid Hamad Al-Mikrad. The discussions focused on increasing bilateral trade, promoting Uzbek products in the Kuwaiti market, organizing business missions and exhibitions, and strengthening cooperation between the two countries' business communities.
The parties identified banking and finance, agriculture, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, industry, and services as priority areas for future cooperation. They also explored opportunities to expand collaboration with the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development to finance infrastructure and logistics projects.
The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming their commitment to holding the Uzbekistan–Kuwait Business Forum and the third session of the Intergovernmental Commission, scheduled to take place in Uzbekistan this autumn.
