Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Türkiye Complete “Strength of Unity – 2026” Military Exercises

Military personnel from Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Türkiye have completed the joint “Strength of Unity – 2026” military exercises. The drills focused on coordinated actions in difficult terrain under conditions designed to closely resemble real combat.
The exercises were held at the Gizilgaya training centre in the Karabakh Economic Region, the Karabakhlar training centre in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the Boyuk Zirya training ground in Azerbaijan’s Caspian Sea waters. They began on September 22.
Military personnel from the three countries took part in the exercises, while representatives of nine countries participated as observers. At the closing ceremony, the national anthems of Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Uzbekistan were performed with accompaniment from a military orchestra.
Speakers at the ceremony noted that the exercises contributed to the exchange of experience among military personnel, improved combat training and strengthened friendly ties. It was also emphasized that the participants demonstrated a high level of professionalism, tactical competence and coordination while successfully completing their assigned tasks.
Following the ceremony, gifts were presented to military personnel who distinguished themselves during the exercises. The participants then marched in a ceremonial parade before the reviewing stand. The programme concluded with performances by the creative group of the Azi Aslanov Army Ideological and Cultural Centre.
