Uzbekistan Expands Textile Exports to 55 Countries

In the first seven months of 2024, Uzbekistan’s textile industry continued its robust export activity. According to the Statistics Agency, the country exported textile products worth nearly $1.8 billion to 55 countries.
Textiles accounted for 12% of Uzbekistan’s total exports. The largest share of exports consisted of yarn (45.8%) and finished textile products (38.5%), highlighting the sector’s growing importance in the national economy.
Yarn led the exports, reaching $813.4 million, while finished textile products amounted to $684.9 million, reflecting the industry’s strong growth.
Other key export products included knitwear, fabrics, and socks, with total export values of $169.3 million, $86.3 million, and $23.8 million, respectively.
