Uzbekistan Harvests 3.8 Million Tons of Vegetables in Six Months

Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector continues to grow steadily — over 3.8 million tons of vegetables were harvested in the first half of 2025, with the majority produced by household and private farms.
According to preliminary data from the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a total of 3,824.6 thousand tons of vegetables were grown nationwide from January to June 2025 across all categories of farms.
Breakdown by type of farms:
Household and subsidiary farms: 3,182 thousand tons
Farmer enterprises: 534.1 thousand tons
Agricultural organizations: 108.5 thousand tons
These figures underscore the significant role of the private sector in strengthening the country’s food security. The rise in vegetable production supports both domestic supply and the export potential of Uzbekistan’s agribusiness sector.
