Uzbekistan has taken another step toward joining the World Trade Organization (WTO), reaching new agreements with Argentina, Australia, and Honduras.
According to Azizbek Urunov, the President’s Representative for WTO affairs, the total number of countries that have already concluded agreements with Uzbekistan has reached 29. In addition, two more nations have given their preliminary consent, and only three bilateral negotiations remain to be finalized.
These developments bring Uzbekistan closer to the final stage of its long-standing bid to join the global trade system.
