Uzbekistan has increased oil exports by almost 90%

Uzbekistan increased exports of oil and oil products by 85.9% in the first half of the year, according to the Statistics Agency. At the same time, gold exports grew by 47%, while car deliveries abroad — by 52%.
In January-June 2023, supplies of oil, oil products and similar materials from Uzbekistan abroad reached $115.7 mln, data from the Statistics Agency show. The indicator grew by 85.9% compared to the same period last year.
Gas exports fell 35.2% to $278.4 mln, while gold exports totalled $4.4 bln, up 47.3% year-on-year.
Car shipments abroad grew by 52%, totalling $228.7 mln in monetary terms. Textile exports (yarn, finished goods), which were sold for more than $1 bln, fell by 14%.
The structure of imports includes natural and artificial gas — $200 mln (2.6 times growth), fertilisers — $107.3 mln (2.3 times growth), vegetable oils — $175.6 mln (96% growth) and cars — $620 mln (56.7% growth).
