Starting April 1, 2026, Uzbekistan will launch an eco-sticker system for cars. The stickers will help drivers and authorities assess vehicle emissions and encourage environmentally friendly cars.

Uzbekistan Launches Eco-Stickers for Cars
Uzbekistan has approved the procedure for issuing eco-stickers for vehicles. These stickers indicate a car’s ecological category and emissions level, distinguishing “clean” cars from “average” and “harmful” ones.

Stickers can be obtained during vehicle registration or re-registration, as well as voluntarily through the official website or my.gov.uz portal. The sticker color corresponds to the vehicle category: green — “clean,” yellow — “average,” red — “harmful.”

A car’s category is determined by the ecological class specified by the manufacturer. For gasoline and gas vehicles, “clean” corresponds to Euro-2 and above, “average” to Euro-0 and Euro-1. For diesel vehicles, “clean” is Euro-4 and above, “average” is Euro-3, “harmful” is Euro-0, Euro-1, and Euro-2.

Hybrid vehicles, cars running on alternative fuels, and vehicles less than three years old automatically fall into the “clean” category.

Stickers are issued indefinitely. Owners can apply through the Road Safety Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The system was initially planned for June 2024, then postponed to March 2025 and January 2026. It will now start operating from April 1, 2026.
