Uzbekistan Names Winners of the Kelajak Muhandislari Engineering Contest

Dilshoda Bakhronova and Zulfizar Mutalimova were among the winners of Uzbekistan’s republican Kelajak Muhandislari engineering contest. Another participant, Zilola Jalolova, won the special Best Woman Engineer category.
The contest was held in three categories: Best Idea, Best Project and Best Invention. Participants in each category were evaluated in three groups: students, practicing engineers, and professors and lecturers.
Bakhronova took third place among students in the Best Idea category with her Urinal Eco project. Mutalimova placed second among students in Best Invention for a multifunctional innovative stand.
Jalolova received the special Best Woman Engineer award for a device that produces drinking water from air using solar energy. The Andijan State Technical Institute representative was also officially identified as the winner of the category.
Other projects recognized in the competition covered robotics, artificial intelligence, water purification and solar energy. In the student Best Project category, Biloliddin Ismoilov took first place with Shunqor 8, followed by Dilmurod Rustamov with the Barlos ground robotic complex and Asadbek Urunov with Body Tester. Among practicing engineers, Ikromjon Muydinjonov won with Argus-X, an intelligent air-defense platform.
The organizers also selected winners of a separate internship competition. Among students, first place went to Kudratbek Makhammadjonov for a project designed to produce drinking water from air using solar energy. Among professors and lecturers, Shahzod Abatov won with Floodsense, a platform designed to identify areas vulnerable to flooding.
According to the organizers, nine winners of the main categories will receive electric cars. Participants who demonstrated strong results will also have an opportunity to undertake internships abroad.
