Uzbekistan
A delegation from Uzbekistan is taking part in the 5th World Conference on Creative Economy (WCCE 2026), held in Jakarta from 21 to 23 October. One of the forum’s key outcomes was the agreement on the Jakarta Vision on Creative Economy, a document intended to provide a basis for further work on a United Nations resolution.
The conference brings together representatives from different countries to discuss the prospects for the creative economy and international cooperation in the sector. The vision is intended to help establish common priorities for advancing creative industries on the global agenda.
On the sidelines of WCCE 2026, representatives of Uzbekistan’s Fund for the Development of Culture and Arts held bilateral meetings with representatives of Indonesia’s Ministry of Creative Economy and Ministry of Culture. The discussions focused on prospects for cooperation in creative industries and cultural diplomacy.
The meetings explored ways to expand engagement between Uzbekistan and Indonesia, including through cultural initiatives and stronger connections among participants in the creative sector. The discussions took place amid broader international dialogue on the role of the creative economy in future global development.
Uzbekistan’s participation provides an opportunity to engage with international partners and explore new areas of cooperation with Indonesia. The Jakarta Vision on Creative Economy is expected to serve as a starting point for further efforts to advance creative economy issues at the United Nations level.
