Uzbekistan Secures Four Wins in Second Round of World Chess Olympiad

Uzbekistan’s teams finished the second round of the World Chess Olympiad in Samarkand with four victories and two defeats. The country’s main men’s and women’s teams, along with their second teams, recorded convincing results.
Uzbekistan’s main men’s team defeated Peru 3.5–0.5. Nodirbek Abdusattorov, Javokhir Sindarov and Shamsiddin Vokhidov won their games, while Mukhiddin Madaminov drew his match.
The second men’s team secured a 4–0 victory over Algeria, with all four Uzbek players winning their games.
Uzbekistan’s third men’s team faced Germany and lost 0.5–3.5. Mukhammadali Abdurakhmonov earned Uzbekistan’s only half-point by drawing his game.
In the women’s competition, Uzbekistan’s main team defeated Ecuador 4–0. The second women’s team also secured a victory, beating Jordan 3.5–0.5.
The third women’s team lost to Spain 1.5–2.5 after a closely contested match.
The World Chess Olympiad continues after two rounds. The tournament consists of 11 rounds in total, leaving nine more rounds for the teams. The competition in Samarkand will continue until September 27.
