Uzbekistan Strengthens Regional and Strategic Partnerships Through Diplomacy

Uzbekistan is continuing to deepen diplomatic engagement with regional neighbors and key strategic partners. During separate meetings between Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov and his counterparts from Kyrgyzstan and China, the parties focused on implementing agreements reached at the highest political level and enhancing coordination within international organizations.
At talks in Cholpon-Ata, Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov and Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubayev noted the continued development of bilateral relations based on friendship, good-neighborliness, strategic partnership and alliance. They reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening practical cooperation within the United Nations, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, the Organization of Turkic States, the Non-Aligned Movement and other multilateral platforms. The ministers also reviewed the schedule of upcoming visits and joint events.
On 23 July, Saidov also met with Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China. The discussions covered political, trade, economic, investment and high-technology cooperation, as well as measures to enhance the effectiveness of economic diplomacy.
The ministers also exchanged views on cooperation within the United Nations, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, the China–Central Asia format and other multilateral mechanisms. They reaffirmed their readiness to further strengthen the all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China.
