Uzbekistan’s Mufti Receives Sheikh Ayman Suwaid

On September 28, 2026, Sheikh Nuriddin Kholiqnazar, Chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan and Mufti, received Dr. Sheikh Ayman Suwaid, hafizahullah. The meeting focused on the development of Quran education and issues related to Qira’at and Tajwid.
Welcoming the distinguished guest, Mufti Nuriddin Kholiqnazar noted the importance of the visit in taking Quran education in Uzbekistan to a new level. He also highlighted its role in improving the qualifications of specialists in Qira’at and Tajwid.
Sheikh Ayman Suwaid, in turn, acknowledged the reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan in the religious sphere. He expressed his gratitude to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the leadership of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan for the conditions created for holding “Tajwid lessons” and for the high level of hospitality extended to him.
The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on the further development of Quran education and the training of specialists in Quran recitation and correct pronunciation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Mufti Nuriddin Kholiqnazar presented Sheikh Ayman Suwaid with commemorative gifts.
