"Voice of Turkey": Israel Fears Turkey!

World

Recently, the terrorist organization PKK/YPG approached Israel for assistance. Their aim was to utilize Israeli aviation in their fight against the Syrian National Army (SNA), including strikes against pro-Turkey forces. However, these actions faced Turkey’s firm stance.

Turkey's Decisive Response

The "Voice of Turkey" team discussed this issue with high-ranking officials in Ankara, who provided the following statement:

“We are aware of this situation. Our agencies have warned Israel in advance: under no circumstances will the support of PKK/YPG terrorists — groups within the SDF — by Israeli Air Forces or other forces be tolerated. If Israel undertakes such actions, our air defense systems and fighter jets are ready to neutralize them. Relevant orders have already been issued to the Turkish Armed Forces General Staff.”

Israel Keeps a Safe Distance

As evidence of this, it should be noted that Israeli Air Force strikes on military facilities in Syria have been carried out at a significant distance from Turkey's borders. None of the strikes targeted SNA forces.

This clearly demonstrates that the Israeli authorities are wary of potential retaliation from Turkish armed forces. Thanks to the effectiveness of Turkey's air defense systems, Israeli military actions remain limited.

Map of Israeli Strikes in Syria

Israel has effectively abandoned the 1974 ceasefire agreement with Syria, seizing additional territories in Quneitra and the Golan Heights. Today, Israeli airstrikes are primarily concentrated in the southern provinces, including the outskirts of Damascus, and coastal provinces such as Tartus and Latakia. The main objective of these strikes is to deprive former opposition groups of access to the regime's strategic weapon reserves.

However, the northern provinces have not been targeted by airstrikes. This is due to their proximity to zones of Turkish military operations, allowing Turkey’s armed forces to deploy air defense systems.

Strategic Importance of Northern Regions

Military bases in the northern provinces, including Aleppo and other facilities, remain intact. These areas host a significant amount of captured equipment and weaponry, providing strategic advantages to pro-Turkey forces and the SNA.

Turkey has once again demonstrated its resolve to protect its national security. Israel, fearing Turkey’s retaliatory actions, is compelled to limit its military operations. These developments indicate a shifting balance of power in the region.
