White House says money for Ukraine military aid is running out

A military aid package for Ukraine announced Friday is "running out of available funding" as part of an initiative to help Ukraine's security.
The US administration's supplemental budget allocation to help Ukraine has been exhausted. This was announced by White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre at a regular briefing.
According to her, after the military aid package for Ukraine announced on Friday, "the available funding" under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI) are being "exhausted”.
She suggests that the US Department of Defence is entering into budget contracts with manufacturers instead of providing this or that equipment directly from its stockpile.
In this regard, Jean-Pierre called on Congress to approve additional assistance to Kiev in the near future.
